Nera is present in both the PtP and PtMP market segments, with the bulk of its business in the PtP market.

Nera’s share of the total PtP market is relatively small, at approximately 3,5%. Competitors include large international players, as well as somewhat smaller, mainly regional, players. However, Nera’s position is stronger in selected sub-segments, particularly in the Long Haul market where Nera’s share is 8 percent. In the Software Programmable Radio segment, which is estimated to grow at 14 % annually, Nera Networks has a market share of 4 % and is well positioned with the Evolution Series product range.

Nera Network’s holds a strong position in Latin America and Africa, whereas the company is seeking to improve the position in the growing Asia Pacific market as well as in North America. In Europe and Middle East, Nera Networks continues to have a sound position.
