Business overview

Headquartered in Singapore, Nera Telecommunications Ltd (NeraTel) was established in 1978 and is a public company listed on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Ltd (SGX-ST). A premier solutions provider, it offers a comprehensive range of products and services within the telecom and information technology sectors.

As a part-owned subsidiary (50.1 %) and strategic partner to Nera Networks, NeraTel has established its network of clients and services in Asia. 

NeraTel has two business segments, namely Telecommunications (“Telecom”) and Infocomm. The Telecommunications business segment comprises Transmission, Satellite Communications and Wireless Broadband Access. Infocomm comprises Broadcasting, Cabling solutions, Network Infrastructure and Retail Payment solutions.

Transmission

NeraTel designs, builds and implements transmission solutions, based mainly on Nera Networks microwave transmisssion products.

Satellite communications

NeraTel provides a comprehensive range of satellite communcations products, systems and services to Satellite Service Providers, ISPs, Government/Aid/Rescue Organisations, Enterprises, Media, Marine/Offshore/Oil & Gas industries.

Wireless broadband access

NeraTel has a wide range in radio-link and satellite communication for fixed broadband wireless access solutions, and is  building on the synergy between the existing competence and products in Nera's traditional core areas and creating a new portfolio of Interactive PMP and PTP Terminals and Base Stations, as well as Satellite Interactive Terminals and Gateways.

Broadcasting

Broadcasting comprises the sales, installation, maintenance and servicing of Master Antenna TV Systems (MATV), Cable TV Systems (CATV) and Digital TV Networks and Systems.

Cabling solutions

NeraTel is a leading specialised cable supplier and has undertaken numerous special cable deliveries to the oil/gas and marine/offshore industry. It also delivers fibre optic cables and cable ducts to telecommunications service providers.

Network Infrastructure

In partnership with leading principals, NeraTel provides networking solutions based on advanced data transfer technologies such as Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM), Gigabit Ethernet, SNA/LAN to WAN solutions, IP based networks, frame relay, financial transaction networks, etc.

Retail Payment solutions

NeraTel is a one-stop centre for electronic payment systems, offering various electronic payment terminals for credit cards, debit cards, other smart-card applications and enterprise networking equipment. It also provides secure Internet payments using SET/SSL and data transaction processing software solutions.
