Nera is present in both the PtP and PtMP market segments, with the bulk of its business in the PtP market.Nera’s share of the total PtP market is relatively small, at approximately 3.1 percent. Competitors include large international players, as well as somewhat smaller, mainly regional, players. However, Nera’s position is stronger in selected sub-segments, particularly in the Long Haul market where Nera’s share is 11 percent. In the Next generation Short Haul (Hybrid TDM & Packet) Radio segment, which is estimated to grow at 22 percent annually, Nera Networks has a market share of 3 percent and is well positioned with the Evolution Series product range.
