Norwegian Design Council Honors
THEIA HE-t Solar Inverter With Award For Design Excellence

DRAMMEN, NORWAY -April 19, 2012 - Eltek today announced its THEIA HE-t solar inverter has won the Award for Design Excellence for demonstrating innovative industrial product design.

The THEIA HE-t won the industrial design award, one of nine categories in the Award for Design Excellence competition. The jury selected Eltek's THEIA HE-t as a design excellence award winner for standing out in a "design-conservative" industry, and specifically for the THEIA's graphical display with its intuitive user interface and compact and rugged exterior.

        


The design excellence awards are coordinated by the Norwegian Design Council based in Oslo. The awards for design excellence are recognized as one of Norway's top honors to acknowledge and encourage companies to innovate using design.

"From the earliest development of the THEIA HE-t, we recognized that its industrial design should be a strong differentiator and have been focusing on making that design as practical and helpful as possible," said Karolina R. Hogga, Marketing Manager of Renewable Energy for Eltek.

Martha Shire Farm, the Norwegian Design Council's project manager for the Award for Design Excellence said: "The Award for Design Excellence rewards companies and designers working together to create products and services through the methodical use of design. These winners are the most innovative and courageous companies and designers we have in Norway."

The THEIA solar inverter also recently won a "red dot award'' for product design, which is awarded annually by the Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen based in Essen, Germany.

THEIA HE-t solar inverters transform energy from photovoltaic panels into AC power. With the THEIA HE-t's extremely high efficiency rating, very little energy is lost during the process, which makes solar systems more useful and increases their ability to deliver significant savings.
